Special Deputy Attorney General for Guns and Gangs
Carl J. Boykin was appointed Special Deputy Attorney General for Guns and Gangs in February 2007. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Boykin served from 2004 until 2007 as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of New York, where he concentrated on Asset Forfeiture. From 1999 to 2004, he was Chief of the Appeals Unit for the Oneida County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Boykin was Principal Law Clerk to Associate Judges George Bundy Smith, and the late Fritz W. Alexander, II of the New York State Court of Appeals.
