Professional History Special Deputy Attorney General for Public Integrity

Ellen Nachtigall Biben was appointed Special Deputy Attorney General for Public Integrity in the New York State Attorney General's Office in February 2007. Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office, Ms. Biben served as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office for more than 10 years, the last five years as Deputy Bureau Chief of the Rackets Bureau where she investigated and prosecuted organized crime, money laundering, tax evasion, public corruption and other forms of racketeering. Prior to her tenure at the New York County District Attorney's Office, Ms. Biben was a litigation associate with Sullivan & Cromwell and a law clerk to the Honorable Alan H. Nevas of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
